Quality and risk management are critical components of ensuring patient safety, clinical governance, and continuous improvement in healthcare settings. This role requires an individual who can develop, implement, and oversee quality and risk management systems to maintain the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality and risk programmes in line with national standards. They will maintain risk registers, ensure effective risk mitigation, and oversee incident management and policy development. Additionally, they will lead governance and reporting processes, chair meetings, guide teams, engage with regulators, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • A Level 8 (or higher) degree in Healthcare Quality, Risk Management, or a health-related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality and risk management within a healthcare setting is essential.
  • Experience in incident management, policy development, and quality assurance processes is necessary.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Quality, Risk, or Patient Safety would be advantageous.
  • Experience with organisation-wide accreditation processes (e.g. ISO, CHKS) would be beneficial.
