Navan, Meath, Ireland beBeeRadiology Full time €25,000 - €40,000

As a Radiology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the radiology team by providing essential administrative and chaperone support. Your primary objective will be to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care and experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, a passion for healthcare, and a desire to contribute to the smooth running of a busy clinical environment.

The role offers valuable experience for those pursuing a career in radiography or healthcare. Key responsibilities include assisting the radiographer in completing daily worklists, assisting patients through the patient journey, and providing emotional and physical support during treatment.

Additional tasks include transporting patients to and from scanning areas, maintaining scanning systems and accessory equipment, monitoring the use of consumables, and completing clerical tasks such as scanning referrals and inputting data.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organised, and have the ability to work on own initiative. A friendly and professional manner is also essential.

Desirable qualifications include QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support and currently studying Radiography. However, these are not essential requirements.

Benefits of this role include exposure to a wide range of radiology workflows and patient interactions, the chance to learn directly from experienced radiographers, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive clinical environment.

We are looking for a resilient, flexible, and open-to-change individual who is able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. If you are enthusiastic, compassionate, and eager to make a difference in patient care, we would love to hear from you.
