As an EAP Counsellor, you will engage with participants via phone, video, chat, and email, demonstrating The Power of a Good Conversation – creating a connection with the client to ensure they feel heard, supported, and cared for.
You will work with clients presenting with substance abuse, crisis situations, mental health symptoms, and/or family/relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide single-session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support, and crisis management in a supportive, ethical, and professional manner while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling.
- Manage high-risk calls and work closely with individuals at risk.
- Refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of a Level 4 diploma in Counselling.
- Full Registration with or member of a regulatory counselling body (BACP/BPS/UKCP).
- Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counselling.
