Job Title: Field Service Engineer

The ideal candidate for this position will possess exceptional troubleshooting and repair skills, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.

This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and gas compression systems and equipment without supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and installing new equipment, as well as overseeing all Field Service duties, including organizing tasks for new equipment start-up, managing service personnel in the field, and completing task logs and commissioning reports for each project.

  • Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
  • Making minor software adjustments in the field.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical/electronic components of machinery, including controls, servo drives, motors, and PLCs.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing natural gas compressors and mechanical/electrical problems.
  • Disassembling and reassembling equipment and replacing components.
  • Performing routine, periodic, and emergency maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with mechanical work on large gas and/or diesel industrial engines; knowledge of natural gas compressors.
  • Experience in technical documentation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley controls and associated software, as well as experience with PLC hardware.
  • Knowledge of various programming platforms to make minor software changes in the field.
  • Solid work history and excellent references.
