Job Title: Senior Casualty Underwriter
\Evaluate and select risk submissions for underwriting, collaborate with brokers to identify cross-selling opportunities, and develop strong relationships with clients to drive business growth.
\Key Responsibilities:
\- Assess risk appetite and communicate effectively with brokers
- Collaborate with underwriters to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities
- Rapidly evaluate, prioritize, and select risk submissions for underwriting
- Create and recognize cross-selling opportunities for insurance products
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with brokers and clients
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to profitably grow a book of business
- Mentor and train less experienced underwriters
- Provide superior customer service to brokers and clients
Requirements:
\- Significant experience in casualty insurance company, agency, or brokerage
- Experience writing captive risks or large SIR accounts
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- Demonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship-building experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to work in dynamic environment
- Flexibility to learn on the job and adapt to changing requirements
