Job Opportunity

This role entails providing assistance to the Accommodation Manager in overseeing daily operations and administrative tasks, with the ability to assume responsibility for the department when needed. Ensuring all guest bedrooms and public areas are maintained at the highest standard is a key responsibility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the smooth functioning of the Accommodation Department according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping staff performance, including uniform compliance, personal hygiene, and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the development, training, and coaching of housekeeping staff to meet hotel standards.
  • Collaborate in creating, updating, and implementing departmental SOPs.
  • Stay informed about daily business, including room occupancy, special requirements, and VIP needs.
  • Liaise with Reception regarding room moves, VIP guests, and special needs; act on information provided.
  • Distribute keys, room lists, house assistant checklists, and cleaning schedules to housekeeping staff at shift start and review at end of shift.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public/recreational areas regularly for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ensure maintenance work in bedrooms, laundry, and public areas is completed before rooms are released.
  • In the absence of the Accommodation Manager, create and input weekly roster into Timepoint before the deadline, considering hotel status.
  • Assist in daily control and update of staff attendance in Timepoint for payroll accuracy.
  • In the absence of the Accommodation Manager, manage ordering of supplies and maintain stock levels of stationery, linen, and amenities.
  • Support the Accommodation Manager in identifying recruitment needs and addressing labour shortages.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate has 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
