Automation Engineer Opportunity

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Limerick, offering an excellent scope for progression, ongoing training, and high-impact project opportunities using cutting-edge technologies.

  • Development, commissioning, and support of automation control systems are key responsibilities of the Automation Engineer.
  • The team integrates factory floor automation with cloud-based platforms, covering all aspects of automation, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams using modern automation technologies is essential.
  • Developing software for bespoke machinery and manufacturing systems is a major part of this role.
  • Engaging directly with customers to understand and deliver on technical requirements is critical.
  • Reviewing and improving current technologies and processes is necessary.
  • Maintaining a proactive, solution-focused mindset is vital.
Requirements:
  • A third-level degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, or Computer Science (or equivalent) is required.
  • Practical experience in automation (Siemens, Allen Bradley, OSI PI Historian, VBA beneficial)
  • Networking knowledge (Cisco certification or VMware experience a plus)
  • Understanding of robotics and safety standards advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are essential
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability is required
  • A full driving licence is necessary
