Job Title: Data Architect

As a data architect, you will be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines and platforms to support our environmental analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Airflow.
  • Create and optimize data storage solutions leveraging Delta Lake, Parquet, and other modern data formats.
  • Develop and manage Spark-based data processing solutions.
  • Implement best practices in data engineering, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing data workflows and pipelines.

We are seeking an experienced data architect with a strong background in cloud-based data technologies and a passion for working collaboratively in a team environment. If you have a solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing, and are proficient in programming languages such as Python and SQL, we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering and a proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. Experience working in the environmental, sustainability, energy or waste sectors is an advantage.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into broader business initiatives. You will also contribute to the development of data-driven strategies that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
