Job Summary

As a key member of our medical centre team, the Care Navigator/Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our healthcare services. This dynamic position involves working both on reception and over the phone, as well as assisting with various tasks in the back of the medical centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients at the reception desk, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments, maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment system, ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing, contributing to the overall efficiency of the medical centre.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Provide general information to patients and address their inquiries, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare setting, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the role.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with basic office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Empathy and compassion towards patients, providing a supportive and caring service.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous, but not essential for this role.
