Data Science Opportunity

McAfee is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Office of the CTO within the Dynamic Threat Defense group, you will play a vital role in providing cutting-edge protection and peace of mind to our customers.

You will leverage your expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to identify new opportunities for application across the personal security space, while improving McAfee's threat protection capabilities.

  • Develop machine learning-driven solutions to protect the digital lives of our customers.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning knowledge to improve existing protection capabilities using supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques.
  • Clean data and build data pipelines to implement model monitoring dashboards and machine learning models.
  • Analyze raw and cleaned data to uncover insights for data-driven decision making.
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities utilizing big data from many different sources.
  • Use data visualization techniques to convey research results and recommendations backed by data.
  • Owning data science projects of varying scope from concept to delivery, focusing on delivering a solution to address the original problem statement to achieve success.
About You

We are looking for an individual who has worked with and understands LLMs and Generative AI, with 5-7 years of experience building high-quality machine learning models. Experience in fine-tuning LLMs and classification is key.

You should possess a Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or other quantitative field, with extensive experience with Python, PySpark, R, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Databricks.

You are self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in collaboration with an international team, with strong problem-solving skills that can be applied toward data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, model development, model measurement, model deployment, and model monitoring.
