Job Overview
  • Assume a key leadership role in the ICU, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with the CNM2/Clinical Coordinator to drive quality management initiatives and incident reporting.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential electrical, chemical, and transportation hazards in the department.
  • Maintain high standards of equipment safety and report any issues to the clinical coordinator or designee.
  • Promote interprofessional collaboration to enhance efficient support, staff training, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a stand-in for the CNM2/Clinical Coordinator in their absence.
  • Report incidents and promote quality management incident reporting.
  • Recognize potential electrical, chemical, and transportation threats in the department and take preventative action.
  • Maintain safe equipment and report issues to the clinical coordinator or designee.
  • Participate in Joint Commissioning Accreditation (JCI) processes.
  • Assist in preparing the hospital for JCI survey.
  • Support senior nurses in the ICU.
  • Foster interprofessional collaboration for efficient support, staff training, and patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse registration with NMBI.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing; postgraduate credentials in critical care preferred.
  • Essential certifications: ACLS; preceptorship experience desired.
  • Five or more years of cardiothoracic or surgical ICU experience with positive impact on critical care.
  • Preceptor experience for adult critical care students.
  • Full private health insurance.
  • Starting bonus/relocation fee up to €5,000.
