Community Fundraising Leader

A community-based organisation is seeking a volunteer Board Member with fundraising expertise to contribute their skills, enthusiasm, and experience to our existing board of motivated non-executives.
This role is voluntary, with no remuneration; however, we will meet any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in fulfilling your duties as a Board Member.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with our management team to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with our Vision, Mission, and financial objectives.
- Board Engagement: Actively participate in Board meetings, offering strategic insights and advice, particularly on matters related to fundraising.
- Committee Involvement: Commit to serve on at least one subcommittee, where your expertise will drive fundraising, grant applications, and identifying new funding opportunities.
- Resource Development: Explore innovative approaches to diversify income streams and secure sustainable funding through building donor relationships, developing partnerships, and engaging external stakeholders.
Approximately 4-6 hours per month, including:
Scheduled Board meetings every six weeks, nine times a year;
Bi-monthly sub-committee meetings, five times a year;
Annual General Meeting and Board review day.
