Technical Specialist

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the efficient operation of specialist vehicles and equipment by conducting thorough inspections and diagnostics.

Maintain, repair, modify, and refurbish a diverse fleet, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Apply expertise across multiple mechanical disciplines, demonstrating flexibility, technical excellence, and a commitment to quality.

  • Participate in the Regional Standby Rota for 24/7 operational resilience
  • Provide critical out-of-hours support, including emergency repairs, equipment servicing, and vehicle recovery

Additional Requirements:

  • Certified level 3 trade qualification in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle System Repair and Replacement in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
  • Two years post-apprenticeship experience working within a trade role

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on vehicles and equipment
  • Competent in Management Information Systems and IT software

Driver's License:

  • Current full UK Class C driving license (Category B+E desirable)
