Job Title: Mainframe Performance Specialist

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Mainframe Performance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and capacity of our mainframe systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the overall performance and efficiency of mainframe applications and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize mainframe capacity and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve performance-related issues and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical solutions.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in mainframe performance and capacity management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with mainframe technologies, including z/OS, CICS, and IMS.
