Job Title

Power Plant Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain efficient operation of power plants.
  • Conduct daily activities such as monitoring, assessing, testing, and operating plant equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the power plant in accordance with safety, environmental, commercial, and chemical requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Support shift operations team in daily activities and maintain records as required.
  • Develop procedures and systems for plant operations and maintenance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Process/Operations experience.
  • Analytical skills to respond to plant operational conditions.
  • Flexibility and availability for shift cover when required.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Craft qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Fitting.
  • Relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) tickets and qualifications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
  • Contractor support/supervision experience.
  • Experience using Maintenance / Operations Management Systems.
