Capital Projects Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Capital Projects Engineer to join our team. This 12-month contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-performing capital project function.

About the Position

  • Deliver various facility/building/construction-related upgrade projects from initiation to completion.
  • Manage all health and safety requirements throughout the full life cycle of each project.
  • Lead constructability reviews, design reviews, and risk assessments during the design phase.
  • Provide input into IFT/IFC packages and assist with the procurement process.
  • Supervise and manage contractors throughout the construction stage.
  • Identify key project issues and develop mitigation plans.
  • Participate in engineering team initiatives as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, engineering, and health and safety standards throughout all phases of project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years' project engineering/management experience with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer qualification is an advantage but not essential.
  • NEBOSH International Construction Safety (or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience working on similar scale projects within a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
