Job Summary

This Calibration Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to join our team in Galway, Ireland.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Calibration Specialist with expertise in maintaining accurate calibration records, performing calibration and repair of electronic and mechanical equipment, and managing calibration standards and reference equipment.

  • Maintain accurate calibration records, including calibration data, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
  • Perform calibration and repair of electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment according to established procedures and standards.
  • Manage and maintain calibration standards and reference equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update calibration procedures and work instructions as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to schedule calibration activities and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Assist in the procurement and validation of new test and measurement equipment.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to calibration activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to other personnel on calibration procedures and equipment operation.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree or technical certification in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Calibration Specialist, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
