Mechanical Process Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Mechanical Process Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with mechanical and process quality requirements on piping installation projects. This role involves close coordination with construction teams, welding crews, and third-party inspectors to guarantee that all work meets project specifications, codes, and client requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately gather, verify, and maintain weld logs from site crews on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Effectively manage and update redline/as-built drawings, ensuring all field changes are captured accurately.
  • Coordinate NDT reports (RT, PT, MT, UT, etc.) from third-party inspectors in accordance with project requirements.
  • Build and maintain Test Packs (hydrotest, pneumatic test, cleaning packs, etc.) in line with project specifications.
  • Implement and monitor project quality procedures in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical piping installation or process plant QA/QC is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes (ASME, EN, etc.), and NDT methods is essential.
  • Familiarity with hydrostatic and pneumatic test procedures and Test Pack compilation is required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and database systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills are crucial.
  • Proactive problem-solving and ability to work under pressure in a construction environment is vital.
  • Strong teamwork and interface skills with site supervisors, welders, inspectors, and client teams are necessary.
