Senior Cloud Architect Role

This senior-level position focuses on designing and implementing cloud-based solutions utilizing the Google Cloud Platform. As part of our multicloud environment, you will deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
  • Maintaining Google Cloud core infrastructure and resources to support business operations.
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps tools.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborating with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their Google Cloud implementation, including networking, storage, and security.
  • Experience and understanding of enterprise patterns and best practices around building out GCP for a regulated organisation.
  • Proven experience with DevSecOps practices and tools such as Google Cloud DevOps, Cloud Build, GitHub Enterprise, and GitLab.
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform (IaC), Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • A solid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Experience with scripting languages, e.g., PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
  • Strong communications and collaboration skills with the ability to produce clear documentation in corporate Wiki tools.
