Construction Professional Sought for Senior Quantity Surveyor Position

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Construction Professional to join our team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a long-term career path within a dynamic and engineering-led business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage budgets and forecasts across multiple construction projects, ensuring timely completion and accurate invoicing.
  2. Administer contracts and manage subcontractor packages, promoting effective collaboration and minimizing risks.
  3. Lead on valuations, variations, and final accounts, providing expert analysis and recommendations to drive business growth.
  4. Support procurement negotiations, driving value for money and optimizing supply chain efficiency.
  5. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
  6. Guide and support junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years' experience in a QS role within the construction industry, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and budget.
  2. Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, with relevant professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
  3. Knowledge of standard forms of contract (RIAI, JCT, NEC), with expertise in negotiation and dispute resolution.
  4. Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  5. Confident communicator and team player, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
