Project Cost Manager Role

We seek a skilled project cost manager to oversee financial planning and execution on large-scale projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, and data center sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost plans, tender documents, feasibility studies, and pre-tender estimates.
  • Provide strategic advice on procurement and contract management, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Attend client, site, and design team meetings, actively contributing to discussion and decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver interim financial forecasts, reports, and detailed financial statements.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure timely issuance of contract notices.
  • Lead post-contract quantity surveying activities, including:
  1. Preparing cost reports for review with clients' project managers before submission.
  2. Negotiating monthly valuations with main contractors.
  3. Monitoring and reporting project progress against planned milestones.
  4. Agreeing final scheme accounts.
Requirements:
  • Hold a 3rd-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
  • possess a strong technical background in contracting, essential for this role.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of quantity surveying fundamentals.
  • Have knowledge of Mechanical Engineering as a requirement.
  • Gain at least 3+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor in the UK, Mainland Europe, or Ireland.
  • Exhibit good presentation and general management skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask and provide an overview of multiple projects simultaneously.
