Leading Voice: Acute Hospital Therapist Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at an acute hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role in an acute hospital setting, supporting adults with a range of complex communication and swallowing needs.
As a Senior SLT, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, providing leadership within the SLT team, and contributing to service development across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a quality Speech and Language Therapy service to adult patients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties in an acute hospital setting.
- Complete assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for inpatients.
- Provide specialist input into the management of dysphagia/feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disorders.
- Work closely as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
- Provide supervision and support to staff grade therapists and students.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in the area of dysphagia/acute care.
- Certification and competence in the management of dysphagia.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
