Senior Cloud Engineer

About the Role

HCLTech is a global technology company delivering industry-leading capabilities centered on digital, engineering and cloud. We work with clients across various verticals, providing industry solutions for financial services, manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, technology and services, telecom and media, retail and CPG, and public services.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design, develop, and deploy services and resources on Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  2. Support the design and lead the implementation of IaC solutions using Terraform to deploy and manage Azure resources.
  3. Support the design and lead the deployment of Azure services, including Databricks workspaces, AI Services, Azure App Services, storage accounts in a highly secure environment.
  4. Ensure compliance with security and governance policies for Azure resources.
  5. Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to understand infrastructure requirements and deployment objectives.
  6. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to team members on IaC and Azure best practices.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment of cloud infrastructure and services.
Required Skills and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related role.
  3. Proven track record in designing and implementing IaC solutions using Terraform.
  4. Extensive experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline setup and management.
  5. Strong knowledge of Azure services and resource management, including networking, compute, storage.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
  7. Analytical mind-set with the ability to analyse system performance and optimize infrastructure.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
