Job Overview
The Environmental Compliance Specialist role involves implementing environmental programs and ensuring adherence to local and corporate standards. This position requires technical assistance for various environmental programs, including air emissions, wastewater discharges, soil and groundwater management, surface water management, waste management, and environmental noise control.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of environmental programs across the site, assisting in meeting regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of written programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Deliver instructor-led training on environmental courses and inspect various programs periodically to ensure they remain compliant.
- Stay up-to-date on new environmental regulations that may impact operations, assisting in achieving environmental objectives and goals.
- Compile environmental reports for both regulatory and corporate requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous experience working with an Industrial Emissions Licence is advantageous.
