Job Title: Cybersecurity Expert

Overview:

Cybersecurity Experts play a critical role in safeguarding applications by performing independent security assessments, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to strategic application security efforts.

Responsibilities:

We seek an experienced cybersecurity professional with expertise in secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of software development methodologies and be able to estimate, plan, and execute application security activities.

You will lead security assessments, ensure identified security issues are properly triaged and addressed, and develop security procedures to enhance the organization's security posture.

Additionally, you will mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of security awareness and excellence within the team.

Requirements:

Mastery of secure coding practices, including secure coding guidelines and coding standards.

Expertise in threat modeling, including identification, analysis, and mitigation of potential security risks.

Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers in security best practices.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proficiency in reporting security issues clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal education in cybersecurity with a strong foundation in Computer Science.

At least one expert-level security certification.

Additional certifications or coursework related to application security or advanced threat modeling.

Over 10+ years of experience in the IT sector with a deep understanding of application security and related technologies.

Continued experience as a Senior Application Security Engineer within the organization, demonstrating leadership and expertise in security practices.
