Senior Health and Safety Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Auditor to join our team.
This role involves conducting audits to ensure the effectiveness of our Safety Management Program, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions. The successful candidate will have strong auditing expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, and internal or external auditing. They should also have program or project management experience, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is required, as well as ISO 45001 internal auditor certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of starting the role.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular verification audits to provide objective assurance on the effectiveness of our Safety Management Program.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including Operations leaders, to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze audit outcomes and recommend process improvements.
- Identify and address hazards outside of defined audit scopes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to create a continuous loop of feedback and improvement.
- Share knowledge and best practices to enhance individual and organizational H&S performance.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, relevant experience, and certification in ISO 45001 internal auditing.
