Lead Engineer in Quality Engineering Operations

Overview of the Role:

Rent the Runway is seeking an experienced engineer to lead automation efforts and guide multiple test automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, automation, and software development life cycle (SDLC) best practices.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open source tools, translating business requirements into detailed test plans and test cases, and decomposing the system to test services and existing functionality in isolation.

Additionally, the successful candidate will develop and improve our test automation frameworks by leveraging cloud infrastructure and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Multi-stack engineer with 4+ years experience in modern JavaScript and associated tools
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous communication
  • Knowledge of Java and related test automation frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with non-functional and load-testing frameworks is a plus
  • Good analytical skills to troubleshoot problems and find areas for improvement
