Occupational Therapist Job Description

Ability West is a leading provider of high-quality services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Our Occupational Therapy team plays a vital role in empowering individuals to live self-directed lives.

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing treatment/intervention programmes for service users. This will involve collaborating with service users, family members, carers, and other staff to provide support and advice.

  • Assess service users' needs and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Implement and review treatment/intervention programmes to ensure best outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Eligibility for membership with the AOTI.
  • Registration with CORU.
  • Post-graduate experience as an occupational therapist in Disability Services sector.
  • A full current driving license with access to your own vehicle.
