Job Description:

As a Telecoms Access Officer, you will play a vital role in our mission to build future-proof networks. You'll be immersed in an environment driven by cutting-edge technology and fuelled by constant innovation. Collaborating alongside colleagues, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to projects that shape the connectivity landscape of tomorrow.

You will work as part of the Wayleave Team, based initially in Dublin and reporting to the Access & Liaison Manager. Your primary responsibility will be surveying as-built records of duct and cable schemes for enabling HFC & Fibre services to residential, business, and MDU customers. You will also be detailing with members of the public, building owners, and management companies etc. to ensure required permissions are in place for detailed works.

Key tasks include liaising with 3rd party stakeholders to ensure proposed works are agreeable and seeking formal permissions, reporting back issues with a problem-solving approach, and liaising with clients for detailed information where appropriate. Walkouts and surveys of new and proposed telecom build works will also be required, along with identifying and recording existing network detail to aid design planning.

  • Compile data capture information using paper maps and online survey tools such as ArcGIS.
  • Survey new routes and quantify requirements for cable, civils, wayleaves, etc.
  • Identify any SED's on route with vision to remove or document.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of telecom network builds or similar is advantageous.
  • Excellent people orientation and communication skills.
  • Meticulous note taking and detailed reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of apps such as ArcGIS.
