Head Chef Position

We are seeking an accomplished Head Chef to oversee our kitchen operations at a luxury resort in Co. Monaghan.

  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary expertise, including menu planning, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing seasonal menus that cater to customer preferences and showcase the latest culinary trends.
  2. Leading and coordinating a team of sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  3. Managing kitchen costs, portion control, and waste reduction strategies.
  4. Maintaining high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety throughout the kitchen.
  5. Providing training and mentorship to kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume kitchen setting.
  • Formal culinary education or relevant certifications (e.g., food safety).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
