Discovery Legal Specialist

We are excited to be representing a prestigious law firm in their search for skilled professionals to join their team, undertaking a large discovery project.

Your New Role:

In your new role as discovery legal specialist, you will play a pivotal part in the litigation process, particularly during the pre-trial phase when both parties exchange information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Review: Conduct privilege and responsiveness reviews of various documents.
  • e Discovery Coordination: Work closely with lead e Discovery counsel to manage workflows and ensure compliance with discovery policies.
  • Data Analysis & Redaction: Analyse documents and media files, apply redactions to privileged or sensitive information.
  • Litigation Support: Assist attorneys and IT teams to ensure discoverability of data across evolving technologies.
  • Research & Outreach: Locate and gather materials responsive to requests, including informal interviews and document searches.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly status updates to Assistant General Counsels and other stakeholders.
  • Classification Reviews: Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure proper document classification.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in law or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in discovery/e Discovery, with one large project undertaken.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
  • Discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and exposure to discovery software technology.

If based outside of Northern Ireland, travel expenses will be covered, subject to agreement.
