Software Engineer for Digital Product Design

We're seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our digital product design team. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for translating designs into high-quality front-end code.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both design and development, with a strong understanding of design systems, component libraries, and scalable UI patterns. You'll work closely with designers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and performant in production.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Redefine and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across products
  • Improve the design and production process, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes
  • Enhance information architecture and navigation, structuring user flows and interactions to improve usability and reduce cognitive load
  • Work with the product team to identify and implement UX enhancements across the product
  • Optimize UI for performance and accessibility, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and product teams to ensure designs are feasible and scalable
  • Prototype and experiment with new ideas, gathering user feedback and validating concepts

Requirements:

  • Experience in both design and front-end development, with the ability to bring designs to life using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of design systems, component libraries, and scalable UI patterns
  • Experience working with design tools like Figma or similar software
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and performance optimization techniques
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes using front-end code
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI development tools or design automation
  • Knowledge of animation and micro-interactions for enhancing UI experiences
