Job Summary:

Electrical Installation and Commissioning Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation and Commissioning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and commissioning electrical systems of various sizes, as well as ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission electrical installations, including instrumentation and equipment.
  • Deliver and commission electrical systems to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Support project delivery teams in developing commissioning test documentation.
  • Conduct initial power-up of MCCs, rotation checks on motors, and I/O point-to-point checks (dry testing).
  • Set up instrumentation in the field, scale signals back to PLC, and calibrate instruments as needed.
  • Supervise suppliers, sub-contractors, and site-based staff, coordinating with project teams and maintenance departments.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to optimize water and wastewater process performance.
  • Complete all commissioning documentation, including pre-test inspections, commissioning sheets, and SAT documentation.
  • Fault find and recertify electrical systems.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), provide acceptance sign-off.
  • Preliminary installation checks and create snag lists for subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Trade-qualified in Electrical or E&I RECI (or equivalent), with 5 years post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Mechanical experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in Water/Wastewater systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in commissioning and process proving of MEICA systems.
  • Ability to liaise with customers regarding commissioning and sign-off.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Safe Pass certification.
  • Manual Handling Certificate.
