Job Title: Senior Electrical Commissioning Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical control systems in water and wastewater treatment installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Control System Installation: You will design, install, and test electrical control systems for water and wastewater treatment installations.
  • Commissioning and Testing: You will commission and test electrical control systems to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Supervision: You will supervise work on site, ensuring that all electrical control systems are installed and tested correctly.
  • Fault Finding and Rectification: You will identify and rectify any faults or issues with electrical control systems.
  • Sub-Contractor Supervision: You will supervise sub-contractors working on site, ensuring that their work meets our high standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical control system installation, commissioning, and testing in water or wastewater treatment.
  • Qualifications: RECI certified Electrician with 5 years' post-apprenticeship work experience.
  • Driving Licence: Full EU/Irish driving licence.

Skills:

  • Electrical Control Systems: In-depth knowledge of electrical control systems, including design, installation, commissioning, and testing.
  • Automation: Understanding of PLC-based automation and SCADA systems.
  • Pumps and Motors: Working knowledge of pumps, motors, chemical dosing equipment, and control panels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and rectify faults and issues.
