About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to take on a leadership role in our pharmacy department.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice and guidance to healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders. They will also be expected to develop and implement policies and procedures related to medication use and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate and timely information to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication use and safety.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to medication use and safety.
  • Conducting regular audits and reviews of medication usage and safety.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve medication-related issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • At least three years satisfactory post-registration hospital experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy practice, including medication use and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
