About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled Speech & Language Therapist to work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement effective strategies to improve the lives of our service users. You will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing communication disorders, as well as developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals. You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in order to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Registration with CORU, the Health and Social Care Professionals Council
- Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in order to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
