About the Role:
This is a leadership position where you will oversee the quality of our products, ensuring they meet business objectives and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in pharmaceutical and biological technologies will be invaluable in developing strategies to support product brands and maintaining compliance with external agency regulations.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of quality professionals who are responsible for assigned products and/or business processes required for on-market product support.
• Develop and implement a global Product Quality Assurance strategy to support pharmaceutical, biologics, and combination products manufactured at AbbVie plants or third-party manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure alignment of Quality and Technical Agreements with legal contracts that the commitments of the quality and technical agreements are being fulfilled.
• Review and approve budgets and direct the Quality Assurance initiatives for global sourcing projects.
• Monitor manufacturing operations for conformance with established procedures and requirements of corporate and governmental good manufacturing practices.
• Develop and execute global strategies related to product complaints management and stability assessment for all products globally.
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in Life Science or other technical discipline.
• 15+ years of total combined relevant experience, including at least 2 years plant experience, and 5 years in operations, research and development, or technical experience.
• Expert knowledge of biological and/or pharmaceutical technologies.
• Ability to analyze data, facts, and informed opinion to direct effective action plans, and problem-solving skills.
• Credible working relationship with plants.
