Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated general accountant to join our finance team in Ireland.

  • Support accurate financial reporting, general ledger accounting, statutory compliance, and local tax/VAT reporting.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and group accounting policies.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT, Intrastat, and other regulatory tax returns for Ireland and potentially other EMEA countries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the annual statutory audit and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processes and ERP system usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
