Job Overview

Our company seeks an experienced professional to support external manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Operations Person in External Manufacturing role is responsible for ensuring that all activities related to the support of external manufacturing are conducted in accordance with Global Contract Manufacturing Standards. This includes providing oversight of day-to-day operations, identifying and promoting operational best practices, and establishing a human error prevention program.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational excellence initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Conduct regular shop floor visits to ensure that practices match local procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish metrics to track performance and progress towards goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on operational best practices and cGMPs.
  • Support joint process team members in monitoring technical agendas and managing deviations and complaints.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or operations.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and influence skills.
  • Able to represent the company's mission, policies, and practices in a positive, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Fluent English language skills.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
  • Knowledge of basic statistical tools and Lean Six-Sigma principles.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and operational excellence processes.
  • Prior experience supporting device assembly and packaging manufacturing.
Work Environment:

This role is based in Dublin, Ireland, and requires regular travel to support operations. The shift is days, but off-hours may be necessary to support operations. Travel up to 20% possible.
