Job Overview:

The role of Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is critical in ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for all personnel.

This position is responsible for promoting a high standard of safety and housekeeping to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including data entry, checks, quality control protocols, and other key performance indicators.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be accountable for providing front-line supervision to team members to meet production targets, developing and delivering effective training plans aligned with business objectives, motivating and developing team members to foster a positive work environment, and maximizing production capability and flexibility to changing needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing effective communications to the team, equipment technicians, and process engineering groups to deliver against manufacturing plan;
  • Maintaining workflow by setting and revising priorities and targets for the team;
  • Monitoring metrics (area, tool, stage) and taking action to optimize performance;
  • Communicating performance expectations and formally assessing employee performance via timely periodic reviews;
  • Ensuring effective shift handovers and interfacing with human resources on hiring and employee relations issues;

Required skills and qualifications include knowledge of manufacturing goals and objectives, strong team lead or people management skills within a regulated environment, high motivation and energy to achieve results, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated problem identification and problem-solving skills, good decision-making skills and judgment within defined boundaries, and demonstration of team leading and leadership skills. This role requires the ability to motivate and develop team members to create a positive and productive work environment.
