About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Specialist to join our Flexibility Operations team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in the safe and successful day-to-day operation of flexibility services on the distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Analysis and Modelling: You will be responsible for studying and modelling network conditions to identify potential constraints and opportunities for flexibility services.
- Oracle NMS Functionality: You will utilize the enhanced Oracle Network Management System functionality to monitor and model expected network conditions, including weather forecasting to predict generation output from renewable sources.
- Process Development and Implementation: You will develop and implement repeatable processes to support near-time and real-time planning activities in conjunction with Operations.
- Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with Networks Operations to establish familiarity with enhanced Oracle Network Management System functionality and execute various scenarios to improve forecasting.
Requirements
- Power Systems Knowledge: You must have a good understanding of power systems, including network and system characteristics and parameters.
- Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: You should possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Initiative and Ownership: You should be able to work independently, taking ownership of work and projects.
- Modelling and Load Flow Analysis Experience: You should have experience with modelling power systems and undertaking load flow analysis.
- Oracle NMS System Experience: You should have experience working with Oracle NMS or similar systems.
- Data Analytics Capability: You should have data analytics capability to extract insights from complex data sets.
Qualifications
- Primary Engineering Qualification or Equivalent Work Experience: You must hold a primary engineering qualification or have equivalent work experience.
Location
This role is based in Dublin, with the opportunity to work on site at our Leopardstown office.
