Job Title: Safety and Compliance Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across various projects in the Dublin region. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and support to managers and staff to ensure their safety responsibilities are fulfilled.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate closely with business teams to implement and maintain effective safety management systems.
  2. Participate in the identification and appointment of competent persons for key safety roles.
  3. Develop and monitor risk assessment processes to ensure production, approval, communication, implementation, and monitoring.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of procedures for lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire and emergencies, permits, and other bespoke safety protocols.
  5. Promote and support the development of a comprehensive Group-wide Safety Management System.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and safety matters and liaise with appropriate safety organizations and trade associations.
  7. Lead investigations into accidents and incidents to identify causes, prevent recurrence, and defend claims effectively.
  8. Provide regular reports on health and safety performance to senior managers.

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detailed focus and willingness to learn.

Work Environment:
  • This is a full-time position.
  • The ideal candidate will possess mid-senior level expertise.
  • This role is primarily based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
