The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be able to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. This includes managing procurement activities, developing and implementing strategies to optimize operations, and reducing costs.
Responsibilities will include overseeing the procurement of stock, equipment, and supplies required for daily operations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal guidelines in all purchasing and warehouse operations.
Additionally, the role requires effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, prepare purchasing plans, and implement and maintain warehouse management systems.
Key performance indicators will focus on inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery timelines. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, ensuring accurate stocking, receiving, and shipping of products, as well as conducting regular performance evaluations of suppliers and making recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 4+ years' experience in warehouse management and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms.
- Forklift license and all required safety courses
- Proficiency in modern warehouse management software and tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work on your own and within a team environment.
