Senior Civil Engineer Job

PUNCH Consulting Engineers have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to work in one of our offices in Dublin, Limerick or Cork.

Job Description:

This role involves working closely with senior managers on the delivery of major projects. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your project.

Our ideal candidate will have Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or ICE and a minimum of 5 years experience in a design office environment.

They will also have an excellent understanding of the engineering principles behind drainage, water, roads and traffic system design and familiarity with DMURS.

Additionally, they will have experience in compiling engineering planning documentation for major projects and producing Flood Risk Assessments.

They will also have experience in the preparation of Traffic & Transportation Assessments and Mobility Management Plans, as well as road safety audit experience and IT skills including MS Word, Excel and basic AutoCAD skills plus company design software packages.

The successful candidate will be able to identify and apply appropriate scientific methods to solve engineering problems and have knowledge of the limitations of established best practice as defined by Standards and Codes.

They will also be able to plan and manage the use of human and physical resources for their projects and have strong communication skills both oral and written.
