Job Title: Site EHS Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to lead the development and delivery of our environmental, health, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems to meet industry standards and align with corporate policies.
  • Promote and facilitate high environmental, health, and safety performance across all site activities.
  • Manage the process safety management system.
  • Provide routine and non-routine EHS reporting to relevant stakeholders in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Conduct regular site safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of relevant safety and environmental legislation and regulations locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Plan and deliver the annual safety and environmental training program.
  • Partner with HR to ensure mandatory training is completed.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training related to new or revised SOPs, health and safety issues, and environmental issues.
  • Oversee the site emergency response program in conjunction with production and facilities management.
  • Develop site safety and environment policies and procedures in collaboration with the Corporate Safety and Environment Group.
  • Work with the HR Business Partner in the area of occupational health.

Requirements

  • Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Formal safety qualification.
  • Previous relevant industrial experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Experience in IPPC license, GHG permit compliance, and ISO 14001 implementation and operation would be beneficial.
  • Strong EHS leadership with previous managerial experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and EHS management systems.
  • Creative in developing new safety and environmental programs and solutions.
