Foreman Required for Project in Athlone


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to oversee daily operations on a construction project in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site personnel, co-ordinating subcontractors, maintaining site safety, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering the project on time.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of site operatives and subcontractors.
  2. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and the building programme.
  3. Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site in compliance with Irish legislation.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized site and manage site logistics effectively.
  5. Report progress, issues, and delays to Senior Management / Assigned Certifier / others as required.
  6. Maintain site H&S file and liaise with external safety auditor.
  7. Perform quality control checks and ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  8. Order materials as required and keep accurate records of site activities and deliveries.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:


  • At least 5+ years experience in a foreman or similar supervisory role on various construction sites/projects.
  • Trade background preferred (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, etc.).
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
