Senior Accountant

Join our organization as a senior accountant and contribute to delivering high-quality financial services to global corporations, financial institutions, capital market participants, and investment fund managers.

The role offers the opportunity to lead in providing corporate administration services to aircraft leasing, securitisation, and other capital market SPVs in Ireland. The team comprises professionals from accounting, audit, company secretarial, compliance, and legal fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate financial statements for a diverse portfolio of capital markets and aircraft leasing SPVs in line with transactional and statutory deadlines.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients by reviewing deal transaction documents, designing general ledgers, assessing applicable accounting treatments, booking initial accounting entries, and drafting initial financial statements.
  • Develop less experienced members of the team and provide guidance on financial reporting and audit preparation.
  • Interact effectively with auditors and clients to ensure successful completion of financial statements.
  • Manage the completion of quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of aircraft leasing SPVs.
  • Liaise with tax advisors and others to ensure VAT and corporation tax compliance, complete VAT and CT returns, and prepare iXBRL-tagged financial statements.
  • Prepare and file quarterly regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, while actively contributing to process improvements within the accounting team and a positive office environment.
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA qualification, with a minimum of one year's post-qualification experience in a relevant auditing or accounting role within a Top 10 accounting firm or corporate services company.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to review complex transactions.
  • Experience in managing audit trainees and newly qualified accountants, performing audits, preparing for and answering audit queries.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, particularly Excel, and strong communication and organisational skills.
