The role of the Senior Technical Advisor involves providing technical support and expertise in Building Physics, Fire, Acoustics and Energy Efficiency. This includes delivering specialist advice on construction materials and systems to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

As a Senior Technical Advisor, you will work closely with construction professionals and internal teams to provide guidance and expertise within the correct guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consultation: Engage with Architects and other industry professionals to discuss project requirements and develop design solutions.
  • Tech Sales & Spec Team Consultation: Collaborate with Gyproc/Isover Technical sales & specification teams to deliver technical expertise and product knowledge.
  • Reporting: Provide monthly reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and weekly trends analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Design Solution Work: Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations to Specifying Bodies and Merchant customers to showcase project solutions.
  • Utilisation of Industry Tools: Leverage BIM, Cad, U-value calculator, Thermal modelling and WUFI/Hygrothermal analysis software to drive project success.
  • Maintaining Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with Safety, Building Regulations, directives, regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Customer Intimacy: Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to experience firsthand how best to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborative Working: Build open and engaging working relationships internally and externally to drive project success.
  • Technical Library: Maintain and share a detailed library of technical information and literature.
  • Project Management: Oversee project management tasks including log and action maintenance requests for offices.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Relevant Construction Professional Qualification: Possess a relevant qualification in construction or a related field.
  • ICT Skills: Demonstrate strong ICT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • AutoCAD: Have experience with AutoCAD.
  • Revit Experience: Possess desirable Revit experience.
