Technical Architect Job Description

Notion is seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our Professional Services team. As an early member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technical solutions that drive successful customer engagements, particularly for large-scale enterprise deployments.

This is a highly cross-functional role, collaborating closely with customers as well as Notion's Product, Engineering, CX (Support), and Sales teams to deliver impactful solutions. You will contribute to the technical aspects of customer engagements, including understanding customer requirements, designing technical solutions, and supporting the implementation of these solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the technical design sessions, helping to architect and document solutions that align with client objectives and identifying gaps between their current and desired end states.

  • Work closely with client stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into well-architected solutions that maximize the value of the Notion platform within their technical ecosystem.

  • Support the technical delivery of customer development, integrations, and data migration aspects of a Notion implementation.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance and expand the use of Notion within customer organizations.

  • Collaborate with Notion's Product, CX, and Engineering teams to address technical challenges and provide customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical consulting, solutions engineering, or similar role, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, or Python.

  • Hands-on experience with APIs and data integration.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences effectively.
