Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Social Care Worker.

About the Role:

As a Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential and respite setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centred care
  • Promote optimum independence and choice for service users
  • Enhance the quality of life of service users in all aspects of daily living
  • Assist and cooperate in the smooth running of assigned areas

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability
  • Knowledge and experience of the residential, social, and recreational needs of persons with an Intellectual Disability
  • Knowledge and experience of advocacy and individual personal plans/person centred planning
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role
